Weekend

This lovely Calathea that I bought in Nashville last month is doing well in my living room. It does need to be repotted, and I think I'll try to get that done this week.

Our weekend was rainy, with periods of sunshine, and pretty windy. The rain finally stopped and Sunday was sunny and in the 70's! We had a young family over for lunch after church, and Wes and Rachel were here, too. We ate then sat outside on the deck enjoying the sunshine and breeze!

Delightful!

I cooked two roasts in the crockpot, overnight. I put them in frozen, and cooked them on high. In the morning we seasoned the meat, and turned it on low. We also cooked 'baked potatoes' in a crockpot. We put them on low and by the time we ate at one o'clock, they were perfectly cooked. We had a salad, and a loaf of Italian bread. Dessert was chocolate chip cookies, with ice cream. Tim made people his treat of peanut butter spread on the cookie topped with ice cream. Yum!

Today, Kyle has a post surgery follow up. Dad has an appointment at the VA later this week. The girls and I have about 6 weeks of school left, and we are all looking forward to our summer break.

How was your weekend?

Information Friday

We are having a very rainy spring. Today it is windy, as well. Thankful that the temperatures are mild!

My Daffodils got hammered but the Bleeding Heart looks good!

Where to start today with information.

I think I'll start with abortion and Trump's statement. I'm sure there are several readers here who are waiting to see what I have to say about this.

I am fully prolife. I believe that life begins at conception. Tim and I have supported Align Life Ministries financially for nearly twenty years.

My hope and prayer is that abortion would become unthinkable as an option whether there is a law or not.

My views on government involvement in this issue are that it is right that Roe be overturned. That took it from a Federal law, and returned the issue of abortion to the states. This is the right thing, as now the citizens of each state can choose. Some states will be no abortion, some will have limits, hopefully.

Again, my hope would be that ALL abortion would become REPUGNANT!

As a citizen of our Republic, I want to take the responsibility to care for people, regardless of what the law is. Again, may we live to see the day that the majority of American's can't imagine taking the life of a person in the womb.

This was how they were able to start the Russian Collusion farce.

Will any of them have consequences? Perhaps when Trump is back in office, but of course, they'll try to say he's just getting payback. Adam Schiff is so worried he's already saying Trump will throw him in jail! Only because you've done criminal things Schiff! They are trying to create a narrative so that Trump's admin wouldn't prosecute them.

Remember to pray. So many leading our nation have been corrupted, but I believe we will win the fight for the soul of our nation.

Let's Chat

Photo from Sunday Morning.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was very enjoyable.
After church, Sarah and I, and several friends from church all drove together to our mutual friends' baby shower! It's crazy how I'm now the grandma, along with my friends. It's our kids who are the ones having babies! It was a fun afternoon and I am always so happy to celebrate the blessings in all our lives!

I didn't intend to not post on Monday, but my dad had an early appointment at the VA, and as it's an hour drive we had to leave even earlier.

It's an easy trip, and after his appointment mom, dad, and I went to breakfast. Then we stopped at their favorite candy store, Wilbur Chocolates in Lititz, then I drove over to Costco for fuel.

Yesterday, Kyle had his nerve repair surgery which went very well. It is such fine and delicate work, The doctor said that the stitches are finer than a shaft of hair! We are thankful for the skill of this surgeon, and for his kind and thoughtful manner.

Today, I have all four local grandgirlies. I'll do school with Kamryn and Klaire and the other two will just play. They come early so they are all napping right now. It makes for happier children later in the day.

This past week Tim got my mom and dad's washing machine and dryer installed in their laundry room. It looks great!

The cabinets came from our old kitchen. Tim simply sanded them and gave them a fresh coat or two of paint! I took this photo from our doorway into our space, and the door to the garage is on the right and if you go left you come to the door into my parents living room.

Did you all enjoy the eclipse? We had cloudy skies so our viewing was intermittent. We were to get to 90% here but it never got very dark.

We are having lovely weather right now, and I am enjoying it very much.

We have so much to be thankful for. God is so good to us.

Information Friday

Happy Friday, Friends.

Again, there is so much going on and it's hard to narrow down information for you.

Let's start with Biden.

He started the week off with declaring March 31, 2024 (Easter this year) as Trans Visibility Day. Then later in the week he said he didn't do that. Read about that {here}.

Biden Administration changing their support for Israel. They want Bibi out, I believe.

Is Mike Johnson being blackmailed?

This is where our money is going...

For those who have believed the media stories about Trump, I hope you are beginning to see that those against him are in positions of power with the courts, and in the dem party.

This should happen. They controlled the narrative and hid testimonies that exonerated Trump. This is illegal and treasonous. They destroyed documents as well which is illegal.

If you never look at any news besides the msm including Fox, you believe the lies.

Many states are now making changes that are good for their citizens.

I've included a video here at the end that is a part of a series by Tom Klingenstein on YT. It is about 8 minutes long. I think it is informative.

Happy Weekend!
